Has your business been visited by an OSHA Compliance Safety and Health Officer (CHSO)? The initial site inspection and closing conference is not the end of the process. The CHSO has up to 6 months to develop and submit their report to the OSHA Area Director. Once submitted to the Area Director, the Area Director determines if violations exist, evaluates the severity based on the CHSO report, and issues penalties based on the severity of the violation. This is then submitted back to the employer for response. We always recommend scheduling an informal conference with the Area Director to discuss the violations and penalty amounts.
TSG Safety is here to help! We have a solid track record of developing immediate inspection response, post report response, and informal conference strategy to assist businesses with reducing the penalties associated with violations. We also provide a proactive solution to demonstrate to the Area Director your businesses commitment to workplace safety and reduce the potential for future inspection and penalties.
